Acupuncture

Evidence from ancient texts indicate that acupuncture has been in use for over two thousand years making it a tried and tested system of healing that is ever growing in popularity with over 3 million practitioners worldwide.

It is said that its discovery came about following observation of affects on the functioning of specific organs when certain areas of the body were stimulated. Over the centuries, the understanding of the meridian pathways (which are said to carry chi through our body) developed and techniques have become increasingly refined.  Today, acupuncture is recognized by most as a very effective complimentary therapy. Whilst it’s areas of popularity linking it with specific conditions like pain relief are widely publicized, it’s benefits are far further reaching. Below is a list of just some of the conditions identified by the World Health Organisation that acupuncture has been found to benefit:

Stress; Anxiety; Insomnia; Low vitality

Emotional problems

Skin conditions

Muscular Skeletal & Neurological

Genito-Urinary & Reproductive

Gynaecological Conditions

Ears, Eyes, Nose & Throat
